Velcon I-638C5 is one of the largest standard plain-end coalescers in the Velcon I-series lineup. Different from the threaded I-638C5TB version, this model adopts flat plain end caps for traditional clamp-type housing installation, perfectly matching standard Velcon separator vessels.

With a 38-inch full-length gradient hydrophilic fiberglass structure, the I-638C5 provides far larger filtration coverage than 14/22/28/33-inch models. Its enhanced multi-density fiber layout greatly improves contaminant adsorption capacity and anti-clogging performance, minimizing shutdown and replacement frequency for heavy-load fuel systems. It is the preferred solution for industrial users pursuing high flow rate, long service life and stable purification efficiency.

Working Principle

Adopts standard inside-to-out layered coalescing filtration:

  1. Outer open fiber layer buffers high-speed fuel flow and intercepts large sediment, rust and mechanical debris to avoid surface blinding.

  2. Middle gradient fiber layer traps fine particles and homogenizes fluid distribution.

  3. Inner high-hydrophilic fiberglass layer captures invisible emulsified water mist.

  4. Micro water droplets collide and coalesce into large water beads under continuous fluid shear force, separating from fuel by gravity to achieve aviation-grade dry fuel output.
