RO membrane, also known as reverse osmosis membrane, is one of the most precise membrane separation technologies in the field of water treatment. Its pore size is approximately 0.0001 μm, which is much smaller than the diameters of bacteria, viruses, and most ions.
It is driven by pressure difference and achieves efficient sieving and separation through semi-permeable membranes: under a pressure higher than the osmotic pressure of the solution, only water molecules can pass through, while most soluble salts, heavy metal ions, bacteria, viruses, antibiotics, organic substances, etc., which are harmful to the water, are almost completely retained.
