Product Overview
PECO FG-12 belongs to the well-known FG series natural gas coalescing filter lineup. FG series elements adopt straight cylindrical structural layout, optimized for radial gas flow inside filter housings. The layered gradient media structure realizes staged interception and coalescence, avoiding premature blockage caused by concentrated contaminants and extending effective service cycles during continuous gas transportation.
Our replacement FG-12 filter cartridge uses high-efficiency oleophilic hydrophobic composite glass fiber media. The special gradient structure captures tiny liquid aerosols, merges micro droplets into large liquid masses for gravity settling, and simultaneously intercepts pipeline rust, dust and solid debris. The integrated metal end cap with precision sealing groove prevents gas bypass and short-circuit flow. The internal perforated rigid support pipe maintains stable shape under fluctuating gas pressure, resisting media collapse and deformation under long-cycle continuous operation. Balancing stable coalescing efficiency and high dirt holding capacity, FG-12 becomes the standard primary purification choice for medium-flow natural gas processing systems.
Working Principle
FG-12 operates based on PECO’s proven inside-out gas coalescing separation mechanism:
1. Contaminated natural gas carrying liquid aerosols and solid impurities flows radially outward from the inner support core.
2. Gradient oleophilic fiber media captures micro liquid droplets, coalesces tiny aerosols into large liquid drops.
3. Coalesced liquid flows downward along the outer surface of filter media under gravity and is discharged from filter housing.
4. Dry, purified gas passes outward to downstream pipeline systems, completing gas-liquid-solid three-phase separation.

Application Scenarios
FG-12 coalescing filter elements are widely deployed in medium-flow natural gas purification systems, including onshore gas gathering stations, city gate pressure regulating stations, natural gas transmission pipelines, pigging stations and petrochemical gas pretreatment units. As core gas-liquid separation components, they remove condensate liquid, free water and pipeline particulate debris, protect downstream compressors, flow meters, valves and burners from liquid erosion and particle abrasion, ensuring safe and stable gas pipeline transportation.
Product Advantages

FAQ
Q: Can LEFILTER FG-12 directly replace original PECO filter element?
A: Yes, end cap size, overall length and sealing parameters fully match original PECO parts for plug-and-play replacement.
Q: What is the difference between coalescing filter and particulate gas filter?
A: Coalescing elements mainly capture and merge liquid aerosols to separate liquid from gas; particulate filters only intercept solid dust and cannot remove liquid droplets.
Q: When should FG-12 filter cartridge be replaced?
A: Replace the element when the pressure difference between inlet and outlet reaches 0.14 bar or after reaching the designed service cycle.
