Product Overview
PECO FG-24 belongs to the mainstream FG series natural gas coalescing filter lineup. Compared with short-size FG-12 filter elements, FG-24 features an extended effective filtration length and larger effective filtration area, significantly improving dirt holding capacity and overall gas handling capacity. The straight cylindrical structural design optimizes radial gas flow distribution inside filter housings, preventing localized media overload and premature clogging during long-term continuous gas transportation.
Our replacement FG-24 cartridge adopts high-performance oleophilic and hydrophobic composite glass fiber media. The layered gradient structure efficiently traps tiny suspended liquid droplets, coalesces micro-aerosols into large liquid masses for gravity drainage, while intercepting pipeline rust, dust and solid debris. The integrated metal end cap with precision sealing grooves effectively eliminates gas bypass and short-circuit flow. The internal perforated rigid support pipe maintains stable geometric shape under frequent pipeline pressure fluctuations, resisting media collapse and structural deformation during long-cycle continuous operation. With balanced high flow capacity and reliable coalescing efficiency, FG-24 is widely adopted in medium-large flow natural gas primary purification processes.

Working Principle
FG-24 follows PECO’s mature inside-out gas coalescing separation mechanism:
1. Raw natural gas containing liquid aerosols and solid contaminants flows radially outward from the inner support core.
2. Gradient oleophilic fiber media captures micro liquid droplets and merges tiny aerosols into large liquid drops.
3. Coalesced liquid flows downward along the outer surface of filter media under gravity and is drained from the filter housing.
4. Dry purified gas flows outward into downstream pipelines, realizing gas-liquid-solid three-phase separation.

Application Scenarios
FG-24 coalescing filter elements are widely used in medium-large flow natural gas purification systems, including onshore gas gathering stations, city gate pressure regulating stations, long-distance natural gas transmission pipelines, pigging stations and petrochemical gas pretreatment units. As core gas-liquid separation components, they remove condensate, free water and pipeline solid impurities, protecting downstream compressors, precision flow meters, control valves and combustion equipment from liquid erosion and particle abrasion to ensure secure and stable natural gas transportation.

FAQ
Q: Can LEFILTER FG-24 directly replace the original PECO filter element?
A: Yes, end cap structure, overall length and sealing dimensions are fully consistent with original products for seamless plug-and-play replacement.
Q: What is the difference between FG-24 and FG-12?
A: FG-24 adopts longer filter length with larger filtration area, featuring higher flow capacity and greater dirt holding capacity for larger gas volume working conditions.
Q: When does the FG-24 filter element need to be replaced?
A: Replace the filter cartridge once the inlet-outlet differential pressure reaches 0.14 bar or upon expiry of the design service period.
