Filtration accuracy

NGGC Series Natural Gas Filter Cartridges provide graded high-precision filtration and coalescence separation performance to match the purification requirements of different links in the natural gas industry chain, with consistent and stable efficiency under rated working conditions. For solid particulate matter in natural gas, the series offers standard filtration ratings of 5μm, 3μm and 1μm, with the filtration efficiency of rated particle sizes reaching up to 99.98%, thoroughly intercepting fine solid impurities that may cause abrasive damage to high-speed rotating equipment and precision metering devices. In terms of liquid coalescence and separation, the NGGC series demonstrates excellent performance in capturing and aggregating micro liquid droplets, with liquid removal precision of 0.5μm and 0.3μm and separation efficiency as high as 99.99%. The high-precision models in the series can reduce the liquid content in treated natural gas to below 10 ppm, fully meeting the strict purity requirements of long-distance high-pressure natural gas pipeline transmission, LNG liquefaction, gas turbine power generation and high-end industrial fuel gas applications. Notably, the filtration and coalescence accuracy of the series remains unchanged under fluctuations of natural gas pressure, flow rate and ambient temperature, without performance attenuation caused by changes in gas composition and humidity.

Filter media

NGGC Series Natural Gas Filter Cartridges adopt hydrophobic and oleophobic modified borosilicate glass fiber as the core coalescing and filtration media, which is manufactured through an advanced high-temperature adhesive-free hot-melt compounding process, completely avoiding secondary pollution of natural gas caused by the dissolution of chemical adhesives. The filter media features a scientific gradient pore size distribution structure: the outer layer with larger pores is responsible for preliminary interception of large solid particles and coarse liquid droplets, and the inner layer with smaller and dense pores realizes fine filtration and efficient coalescence of micro liquid droplets, which greatly improves the dirt-holding capacity of the media while maintaining an ultra-low initial pressure drop (≤0.02 MPa). For the harsh working conditions of high-sulfur, high-chloride and high-humidity natural gas, the enhanced models of the series are equipped with PTFE-coated modified glass fiber media to further improve the corrosion resistance and anti-adhesion performance of the media. The entire media structure is reinforced with an inner high-strength 304/316L stainless steel center tube (optional according to working conditions) with high pressure-bearing capacity, and wrapped with an outer anti-impact polypropylene (PP) rigid protective mesh to prevent media deformation, rupture or shedding under the impact of high-pressure natural gas. The end caps are made of high-density epoxy resin with excellent sealing and corrosion resistance, and the sealing interface uses fluororubber (FKM) gaskets with high temperature resistance (-40℃ to 120℃), oil resistance and aging resistance, ensuring zero bypass of unfiltered natural gas and guaranteeing the integrity and reliability of the entire purification process.

Replacement cycle

The replacement cycle of NGGC Series Natural Gas Filter Cartridges is determined by the impurity content of raw natural gas, working pressure, flow rate and specific application links, with a typical service life of 12 to 24 months under normal natural gas processing operating conditions (solid particle content ≤ 20 ppm, liquid content ≤ 50 ppm). For harsh upstream working conditions such as natural gas wellhead gathering stations, offshore oil and gas platforms and high-sulfur natural gas mining systems with high impurity and liquid content, the recommended replacement cycle is shortened to 12 to 18 months to maintain stable high-precision purification performance. For clean midstream and downstream links such as long-distance trunk pipelines, urban gate stations, LNG regasification plants and gas turbine power generation gas supply systems with low solid particle and liquid content, the replacement cycle can be appropriately extended to 18 to 24 months on the premise of regular biweekly differential pressure detection and monthly natural gas purity sampling tests. For newly commissioned natural gas pipeline and filter purification systems, the first replacement is suggested to be completed within 6 months to remove construction residues such as welding slag, pipe scale and metal shavings in the pipeline, avoiding permanent damage to the high-precision modified glass fiber media. The optimal and mandatory replacement timing can be judged by the system differential pressure: when the pressure difference across the filter cartridge reaches 0.3 MPa, it must be replaced in a timely manner to prevent excessive pressure loss of the natural gas system, reduced transmission efficiency and deteriorated purification effect caused by media blockage.
